Russel Wright Steubenville Coral Tea Service for Six-23 pieces

Complete 23 piece tea or coffee service for 6 from Russel Wright’s American Modern collection produced in Steubenville, Ohio beginning in 1939.

Set is comprised of the large tea pot (5" x 10" and 28 oz capacity), creamer (7" x 3" tall ), sugar bowl ( 3” tall), rectangular serving platter (13"), six tea/coffee cups (3.5" x 2" high) and matching saucers (6”) as well as six bread and butter plates (6”) and the chop square serving platter (13”)  in a lovely shade of speckled coral.

There are variegations to the shade of coral throughout the set, as is typical of Steubenville ceramics. Any blemishes to glaze or surface are a result of the firing process, there are stilt marks to the underside of several pieces, and a glaze imperfection on one saucer. The service is without chips, cracks, or damage from use.
