Elegant pair of polished chromium Art Deco "Taurex" candle holders by Walter Von Nessen for the Chase Metalworks Company.
Walter Von Nessen, a leading proponent of the American Streamline Modern design movement, created many of his pieces for Chase from the copper tubing and brass fixtures already in production. These candlesticks, designed in 1933, were manufactured by Chase until their discontinuation in 1937.
The "Chase" mark is imprinted on the underside of the detachable drip collars.

These candlesticks are in very good vintage condition, with minor aging and wear. Light abrasions throughout from handling and some tarnish/discoloration to underside of the collars.
